Friday June 8th
Poland v Greece
Greece +0.5 -120 - 1.20 to win 1 unit
i wrote in a few places that host nations do not have a good recent history in their first match to start the tournee....austria, swiss, portugal, and even England all failed to win their first game as a host nation. Perhaps a different greece team but they did beat portugal in the first match of EURO 2004. Poland has had a very impressive friendly run and their 3 star players (Piszczek, Jakob Blaszczykowski and Robert Lewandowski ) are high class players but Greece can play that boring shutdown defense for 90 mins and I think Poland can be scored on. The Greece Team Total -0.5 is a strong option but i just can't get pass the 0-0 score. I still like the under but i find it hard to bet under 2 at -138. Poland hasn't prove to me that they can compete at the EURO level - they were lousy in 2008 and fail to qualify for the WC. Greece top their group which included Croatia and Israel. I don't think Poland would have had a chance to do that if they had to qualify. Gekas and Samaras might have a bit left to show the world but it might be a bit frustrating to follow them today. Greece is so much more experience, playing solid footy since the world cup and can shut down a less than stellar Polish offense...
Robert Lewandowski is the kind of player that could be the difference maker so poland certainly can win but i don't see it....0-0 1-1 in my mind but greece winning wouldn't shock me one bit.
Hopefully a good start to the EUROs...i'm betting small to start

red card? no...hand ball yes...1-0 Poland and up a man...not the way to start the EUROs for me. If the soccer gods cancel the piss poor ref greece will tie it early in the 2nd half.

Russia v Czech
over 2 goals +115 - 0.86 to win 1 unit
i really like russia here but if they are watching the greek match they probably figure drawing Czech's might be enough to qualify to the next round so 1-1 could happen. Russia do not play a lot of 3+ goal games but the Czech do and 2 goals is enough for a push. I really like the front line of russia (minus Arshavin of course) and most of players have played with each other in the club level at either Zenit or CSKA. I wish Russia pk line paid better..i really see 2-0 home side but Czech's certainly capable of scoring...2-1 FT is my prediction ... i would never bet the over 2.5 though.

Very tempted to back Russia -1 at 4.40 (whatever that is in American odds) but 2 goal would at least push the over bet.

GL - and go CANADA - maybe even the USA will cheer for us vs Cuba...at least the ultra right wing nut jobs will.

i though the ref was bias towards the poles in the first half but in the end he was just bad for all sides...howard webb should ref every game - hahah .. just kidding. But i don't think two red cards and 76 free kicks was the way UEFA wanting to start the cup. Might be the only win i get but nice to win the first one

no moocow - hope you didn't mind getting picks from a vegan..haha...

cocktail if you are kicking around tonight - thoughts on the under 2.5 for your dutch....denmark doesn't pose an offensive threat even against your weak D...i saw Niklas Bedtnar as a starting striker which says it all. Denmark will probably have to draw both netherland and germany to have a shot at 2nd so i imagine it will be everyone sans Bedtnar (he doesn't know strikers can move behind the center line) will be behind the ball. As we said earlier in the week - looks like 2-0 dutch but you guys never care about winning 1-0 either. I'm on under 2.5 unless i get talked out of it or the line moves in the opposite direction bigtime overnight.

GL - 2-0 Dutch and RVP with 2 goals..haha.

i like 2-0 or possibly 3-0...sorry to put you on the proverbial fence...i lean harder for 2-0 though...i don't wanna talk you out of it...i already went limit($2500)on the dutch at -160....this has a get a quick goal, pass the ball around put another away before half and then play keep away the last 45'....and get ready for rammstein on wednesday

well it pays better and i actually think it is a better play then the under...i agree 100% that the dutch squad could score a later goal and win 3-0 so:

Saturday June 9th
Netherlands v Denmark
Total Goals: 2 or 3 goals -105 - 1.05 to win 1 unit
just can't figure out 2-0 or 3-0 dutch...i'd still lean on the under if you can't get the 2-3 goals.

no bet finalized for the 2nd match.

Web is a skank with connections in right places.WC FINAL 2010 was disgrace by its own and he is still getting the treat at main events.he is an attention whore and likes it all the timeto revolve around him.piece of shit.with so many yellow cards and reds in WC FINAL should have been banned for life,he is a disgrace.always like to create drama as if he is in control but bottom line is games when he is the referee are always with some sort of drama, bad referee that can't control game w/o stopping its rhythm and seek attention around himself

Nice call over 1st day bets, best of luck and keep it that way :)

thanks betting4fun...the Webb was a small joke but i totally agree with everything you wrote. I tried to find the game he is reffin' and i didnt see it...i must have missed the news or else he has a 2nd round match. Either way glad he isn't doing any of today's matches.

Interesting in this match the over 4 in yellow cards pays +126. This ref gave 7 in a Chelsea v Benfica CL match and 4 in a EUROPA match with 2 spanish sides. There were only 3 yellows in the World Cup H2H match though...tempting to back the over 4 but no bet here.

once in awhile odds just are too juicy not to take and this netherland's match is a head scratcher..seems the line peaked at -129 and is heading back towards the -162 it started but Netherlands -1 is +140 which is just bit too tempting for me. I didn't want to double bet a game but day 2 and i already did

Netherlands v Denmark
Netherlands -1 +140 - 0.71 to win 1 unit
2-0 and RVP with both goals.

not much else to say about that Dutch performances...certainly the danes played well but netherlands just didn't play like a team...wish i would have stuck with the under instead of 2-3 goals..pretty much gave back what i won yesterday in one game.

well i like German corners over portugal but kinda feels like yesterday - first game midfield battle lack of scoring and second game wide open with plenty of goals...I think Germany will win 2-1 as C Rinaldo unlike RVP scores for club and country and taking Germany to outright seems wrong with Dutch losing. So

Germany v Portugal
Over 2.5 +107 -0.93 to win 1 unit
germany scored 3 times vs Portugal in the 3 meetings in either Euros or WC. They scored at least 3 in their last 5 matches before today and 1-2 to france and 2-0 to israel. Might be tight early much like today but with both sides figuring a win would put them in the driver's seat i think both sides will go for goals. Portugal scoring would help but i have a feelin' Germany nets 3 on their own today. But i did see a 2-0 3-0 Holland win so who knows today.

Spain all day everyday tomorrow - Italy suxs

guess i should tally my record -- 2-3 with units lost. I'll work on that today - hot as a mofo here and lots to do prior to the kickoff.

I am taking both over 2s today - that england v france could be a sleeper but i don't buy it. England can still score despite injuries and everyone seems to favour the french today. I think this France team is a still a fraud ... dog with fleas as they say ... i see 2-1 england win or maybe 1-1. As for the other game if i was a 19 year old living in my parents basement id say bet the farm on the over 2. Both sides just have to go for it...with england being not vey deep i think a winner (if there is one) could sneak into 1st or 2nd in the group. So i don't see 0-0 type game. Zlatan Ibrahimovic should score and i think sweden wins - kinda like the Poland game where crowd is behind the hosts but the visitors are the much better side...Poland ended 1-1 and i think we could see another 1-1 but in the end i think we will see a 1-2 1-3 swedish win.

so:
Monday June 11th
England v France
over 2 goals +125 - 0.80 to win 1 unit

Ukraine v Sweden
over 2 goals -134 - 1.34 to win 1 unit

gl today
